This course help you to understand your worldview and the impact on your teaching, course development, and in a Christian Education setting. This short course begins by explaining that you have a world view, then moves to exploring how we can think about a Biblical Christian Worldview. And we finish by developing an understanding of how we include a biblical worldview into our curriculum, teaching and learning, through an emergent Transforming Vision. The 3 sessions are dripped over 3 days. This is intentional. It gives time for reflection and immersion. And of course it helps you to develop and write your own world view in response to the activities and prompts.
A short activity is included for review, to help you consider and reflect on what a Biblical Worldview might look like in practice.
On completion you will walk away with a sound understanding of world views, and the beginnings of your own statement of philosophy of Biblical Christian Education.
I am passionate about education. My philosophy of education is the belief that all students have the right and ability to learn, and it is the role as educators to promote not only learning, but a lifelong love of learning. This has been the foundation of my own practice. It guides my approach to my teaching, my research and my life.
I have been working in education since 1987. I have worked as a teacher (K-12), lecturer, teacher educator, professional development coordinator, education researcher, educational/instructional designer, education manager, small business owner, and as a private education consultant.
